Product Description

The MCP35X pump is a substantial evolution from the long established MCP355 series. It differentiates itself from its sibling by two primary features:
  • The pump housing:
    • has been redesigned to provide considerably enhanced hydraulic performance;
    • is compatible with multiple tubing options thanks to the adoption of the G1/4 port standard;
    • can host an optional "built-in" reservoir;
    • is available in two colors; classic black or fashionable white
    • is also sold separately, and remains compatible with all MCP3XX series pumps
  • The motor:
    • is now PWM compatible, allowing variable speed control thru the motherboard from 1300 to 4500 rpm.

Tab 1

  • Small Footprint: 2.4" x 2.4" x 1.36";
  • 50,000 hours MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) ;
  • 12 Volts DC convenience: plugs into the computer power supply
  • Variable speed control via PWM thru the motherboard, from 1300 rpm for completely silent operation, to 4500 rpm for ultra high flow performance;
  • Superior head pressure and flow rate (in the useable range) to any pump in its footprint: the MCP35X is particularly well adapted to support multiple devices in the same loop, such as multiple radiators, and/or waterblocks;
  • G1/4" ports standard for compatibility with a large assorment of fittings;
  • No maintenance when used with distilled water, and anti-fungal additives (our HydrX additive is recommended);
  • Quick installation with adhesive neoprene pad, or permanent installation with supplied hardware;
  • Optional "built-in" reservoir;
  • 2 year warranty

The MCP35X housing is precision machined from black POM, and is also available for sale separately. It is compatible with all previous MPC3XX class pumps.
Important warranty information:
Users are reminded that disassembling your pump for any reason, including for the purpose of upgrading the housing, automatically voids the pump warranty.

"To sum it up in a simple phrase, the MCP35X is a big deal. [..] PWM control of your pump is the game changer here. [..] The ability to change speeds when load/temperature increases without having to manually adjust the settings is a godsend, and now we can do this with our pump too that is huge! [...] The MCP35X is the best overall performing Laing pump I have tested to date..." Jan 2011

Pure bliss..
Martin Matejsek (Klamath Falls, OR) 5/20/2011 2:50 PM
I'm throttling my 35X, and LOVE it that way. I also have my fans on a sunbeam rheosmart doing the same speed throttling. I can not express enough how awesome it is...try it..you won't regret it. I USED to think along those same lines of adequate pump and fan speeds, but in the end it's a middle ground compromise between performance and noise. My office ambient with my old fixed pump and fixed fan speed setup was around 42dbA. Now using PWM to dial down both the fans and pumps, I can set the fans at a higher speed and pump full speed as well. I get full out performance when my CPU hits 42C or higher which never happens in the desktop environment short of benching and gaming. More importantly, my noise level is WAY down 99% of the time, from 42dbA to 35dbA...that's huge. If you haven't already tried throttling pumps and fans via PWM or other "Smart" thermal throttling, you are missing out. Only thing I see is about 1C higher idle temps, but who cares about 29 vs 30C on idle. My pump also runs very cool in comparison when it's drawing a few watts vs 20 something..... Only time I hear load speeds is when rendering video or gaming in which case I either walk away for the render or I'm wearing headphones to game with. Pure bliss.. D5 is a great pump too, but PWM is soooooo nice!
